A message from our Chair

Welcome to our website.

According to Charity Commission records, RSPCA Northamptonshire branch has been recognised since 1964.

RSPCA Northamptonshire currently has 6 shops across the county. The income from these shops, including eBay selling, ensure that there are finances to pay for salaries, maintenance of the estate and the bills for veterinary care required for our sick and needy animals. The Branch maintains its direct animal welfare from the cattery on rented land in Brixworth, 2 kennels on the same site for dogs who are unable to settle in a foster home and with the support of 60 fostering volunteers across the county.

A small team of paid dedicated individuals maintain the intake and adoption of the animals. Up until 2020 the Branch was receiving abandoned animals from the RSPCA Inspectorate however, since 2021, post pandemic, the landscape has changed significantly with more animals, in bigger numbers, now coming to us from our local population who can no longer afford vet bills or food for their animals.

Campaign

RSPCA Northamptonshire has been caring for Northamptonshire’s pets for nearly 60 years – working to make sure every pet is in a safe and loving home. Because You Can’t Put a Price on Pets.

Sadly however, some people are being forced to put a price on their beloved pet due to the rising cost of living and soaring fees for veterinary treatment.

Our You Can’t Put a Price on Pets campaign sets out our ambitious and exciting vision for the future of animal welfare in Northamptonshire – a vision where every Northamptonshire pet is in a safe and loving home.

A former boarding kennel in Brigstock, Northamptonshire, is at the heart of the branch’s exciting plans. We plan to turn the site into a flagship animal welfare centre allowing us to rehabilitate and rehome more animals than ever before, and continue and enhance the services we offer to struggling pet owners.

You too can play your own role in helping RSPCA Northamptonshire be there for every pet that needs us – we invite you to join us on this journey.
