Preventing cruelty
alleviating suffering
promoting kindness

The RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch works to improve the welfare of local animals. We do this in a number of ways

- supporting the work of our local RSPCA Inspectors

- operating an animal welfare assistance scheme to provide financial help to owners struggling to care for their animals

- organising activities locally to promote the work of the branch, recruit volunteers, attract members, and raise funds for animal welfare

- setting up a network of foster homes from which we can re-home unwanted animals

-running a charity shop as a means of raising funds to help local animals

In 2006, the local branch provided assistance for 150 local animals in need of veterinary treatment, helped owners on low incomes with the cost of neutering 182 animals, and assisted in the re-homing of 240 animals via the RSPCA Animal Centres at Blackberry Farm, Woodside, and Block Fen.

We produce a quarterly newsletter providing news and information, and seeking volunteers to help with the range of activities undertaken by the branch, such as helping in the charity shop, holding collections to raise money, and arranging events to raise awareness of the work of the RSPCA.
